Antoni Casamitjana takes the step of setting up a company in Terrassa for the purchase/sale and manufacture of its own furniture.
Josep Casamitjana
Josep, Antoni’s son, takes over the business, inspired by the great architects of that time, including Le Corbusier, Saarinen and Aalto… and modernises it.
Santi Casamitjana
Influenced by the hallmark of design, Santi, Josep’s son, embarks on the longest stage of the company’s management and runs it until 2010.
Casamitjana Sons
The incorporation of Pol and Oriol, Santi’s sons, opens the door to a new millennium. Oriol becomes the current Managing Director.
First establishment in Barcelona
With the inauguration of its first establishment in Barcelona at calle Ferran Agulló, Casamitjana sets foot in the capital of Catalonia.

The establishment in Ferran Agulló is too small and Casamitjana moves to new premises at Johann Sebastian Bach 15.
100 years
The year of the great event: Casamitjana celebrates its 100 years by organising a great party at Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, which was attended by seven hundred people, including customers, suppliers and partners.
Poltrona Frau Flagship Store
Affected by the pandemic, but with its trust in the future intact, the company reopens in calle Ferran Agulló, on the site where its first store was established. On this occasion, a single-brand flagship store, in partnership with the prestigious Italian company Poltrona Frau.

WHO WE ARE
In 2000, at the initiative of Carme Marcet, Santi Casamitjana’s wife, the company set up a difficult but effective Corporate Responsibility Policy allowing the Casamitjana employees to reconcile their work and their family life. This has helped the company to strengthen its ties with its staff and convert Casamitjana into a reference in Catalonia and Spain.
